Put Your Train Case to Work!

According to Webster’s Dictionary, the first train case surfaced in 1948 and was originally designed to carry toiletries for train travel. But it quickly became popular for storing daily make-up products.

Over the years, train cases have become more stylish and smaller in size, to provide convenience for quick travel. Some have mirrors inside, while others focused on the cushion and available spacing and pockets inside.

Kate’s Boyfriend Train Case has both a mirror and pockets inside! Everything was specially hand picked by Kate to make it sexy and fitting for a fragrance like Boyfriend.

When Kate first came on HSN I knew I had to buy Boyfriend, more than that I knew I needed the train case. It was affordable, sexy and made me feel like I was getting something extra along with an amazing fragrance. But once I burned my candle, placed my pulse point oil and dry body oil in my purse, placed my body cream on my dresser and sprayed all my perfume, what could I do with my train case? I couldn’t throw it away, it was too pretty, so I decided to find different ways I could use my train case.

My Top 10 possible uses:

1. Boyfriend. First and foremost you can use the train case for exactly what it was made for… Boyfriend products. You can purchase and store more of the products, and keep them neatly or messy, whatever you like in the train case.

2. Purse. You can use it as a purse like the actresses did in old movies back in the day. Take the straps out of the case and turn it into a purse and you’re on your way!

3. Make-up. This actually is the original use for train cases– load this baby up with you favorite Mac, L’Oreal, Bobbi Brown and Lancôme products and use the mirror inside to make sure you’re always looking fab!

4. Decoration. Since theBoyfriend train case is very chic and sexy, you can place the case around your house wherever you’d like. Place it on the coffee table, end tables, dressers or counters.

5. Jewelry. Since the case is like a treasure chest, why not keep your favorite earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces in it? The case has little pockets on the side that allows you to keep your earrings and rings neatly tucked away.

6. Nail polish. If you are anything like me, you have tons of different colors, types and brands of nail polish; a girl can never have too many! From the cracked styles to the smooth stroke of Chanel, you can keep your nail polish all together in your train case.

7. Arts and crafts supplies. The train case is small, but if you can store paints, knitting utensils, crayons and markers for kids, or any crafty materials that fit in there.

8. Hair accessories. You can place a mini travel flat iron in there, bobby pins, hair glosses, combs and brushes or any kind of products that you use daily and need to take on the go.

9. Collectibles. The Train Case resembles a treasure chest, so why not make it one? Put in whatever you collect: buttons, pins, stamps, old trinkets, key chains, coins, post cards, antiques and pictures… it’s your choice.

10. Protection. There has never been a more perfect place that is sexy and totally appropriate for keeping your secretive items. Keep your intimates intimate by putting all the products you get from stores like Lovers Lane in place no one would ever expect.

I decided I would use my train case to keep my jewelry. To keep my necklaces from getting tangled together I put them in the pockets, and let my bracelets, earrings and rings lay on the bottom together. I use the mirror inside for putting my jewelry on; I look and make sure I chose the right accessory for my outfit. And as for the names inside the case surrounding the mirror– I’ll just tell myself one of those men bought me the jewelry I put on. Don’t judge me, you’d be surprised how good that little lie makes you feel!

This is my way, but how do you use your BOYFRIEND Train Case?
