The day Kate announced Boyfriend was on his way was one of the greatest days ever for all Walshies. The eight webimercials teasing us about what was to come, the endless interviews telling us the story of how Boyfriend came to be and the tweets Kate bowled us over with each day, all leading up to the day Boyfriend was released to the world. Many Walshies rushed to purchase the new fragrance though some – including myself – found out a long wait was in store before the scent of Boyfriend would reach them.
So this got me thinking, I’m outside of the US, I have no plans to visit to US any time soon and I don’t have any relatives living there. How could I get myself my own Boyfriend? Well, I was sat trawling through my Twitter dashboard with only one thing on my mind and so with no expectations whatsoever I tweeted; ‘Does anyone fancy sending my Boyfriend?’ and to my surprise and elation someone actually replied!
A fellow Walshie read my tweet and immediately responded with the amazing news that she would help me get my own Boyfriend! The next day she took a trip to Sephora, purchased Boyfriend and sent him on his journey all the way to England… At first he was reluctant to travel and leave the safety of the US, sending himself back to her home after the confusion of not knowing where I actually lived! But soon enough the day came when Boyfriend made it to England and was welcomed into my home with open arms.
At first I didn’t know what to expect. I imagined it to be such a great and unique smell but in all honestly had no clue whether I would like it or not. So, the second I received it I opened the box and sprayed it onto my wrist (after reading the names and noticing ‘Pablo’, ‘Billy’ and ‘Kevin’). It was so different to any fragrance I had ever smelt before, it had layers, and different smells mingled together to make one. Throughout the day I noticed the slight changes and new smells began to become present. This is certainly one special fragrance that I will be staying loyal to for a long long time (although I’m currently rationing myself until he comes to Europe!)
